Chinese Huawei is ready with a smaller and even cheaper Lite-variant of the top model, P8, but with the same strong camera.
Huawei launches today a less P8 Lite-smartphone in Denmark, which is based on last month’s top model P8.
Here you get a still powerful smartphone in a slightly smaller size and for even cheaper money than the already relatively cheap P8.
The same design – just less
As the name of the model indicates, this is a lite version of the big top model. This means that the 5.2 “screen in the P8 is screwed down to 5” of IPS-type and it is 1.9 mm, 1.5 mm narrower and lower well enough 1.3 mm thicker.
Also the screen resolution has gone slightly down, so you now have an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels to have at its disposal. It gives a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch toward large brorens 424.
If you are into the delicious design from P8’eren, drawers P8 Lite either. The design is completely identical with its more expensive big brother, but metal-unibodyen is replaced by more plastic in the construction.
Identical is the resolution of the camera also, which is at 13 MP as in P8. With a 28 mm wide angle camera in Huawei P8 Lite can shut down large amounts of light into which results in fine and sharp pictures under difficult light conditions.
A cool feature of the camera is that you can take your picture with the same for subsequent to decide where the focus must be on the image. You can therefore with a double click on the volume button up to catch the right motif on the fly and at a later time to change the focus to get the items you want in focus.
Double 4 g antenna ensures better coverage
Huawei has chosen to do something about the recurring problem with that smartphones may have difficulty holding on to good coverage. That is why Lite-version fitted with two antennas for 4 g coverage, so that a good and quick coverage is maintained, how many other smartphones have to switch over to a 3 g coverage. You can surf with up to 150 Mbit/s in download with the smaller, affordable smartphone.
Homemade 64 bit processor with 8 cores
P8 Lite is, as with the top model P8, equipped with a proprietary processor. This is called HiSilicon Kirin 620 and are a little more stripped down version, where hiding 8 cores of Cortex-A53-type with a frequency of 1.2 GHz.
You get so not a processor in the absolute top class, but still enough to cope with all the everyday tasks without any problems.
You have 2 GB of RAM to have at its disposal to keep all apps and games running, which is sufficient for most usage.
“Where the top model P8 caters to the more demanding consumer, P8lite is designed for an audience that wants quality and simplicity at a good price. You’ll be pushed to find equally strong technical specifications for such a low price, and I dare venture the påstånd that with the launch of P8lite gives consumers in Denmark more value for money than ever before, given the price, hardware and design into account, “ says Thor Gøtz, Director of Huawei Denmark Consumer BG.
